Membership

The Pleasanton PTA Council has a membership of over 5,000 parents, teachers, administrators and students associated with 8 public schools in Pleasanton. The PTA Council seeks to support local PTA Units in their activities and to facilitate communication among members of the community.

PTA Membership Dues

PTA Membership funds programs initiated by the Unit, Council, District, State and National PTA organization. The Pleasanton PTA Council provides volunteer, financial and administrative support and services to its members for:

  • Community Projects
  • Convention Delegates
  • Emergency Student Assistance
  • Hospitality
  • Leadership Training
  • Materials
  • Publications

How are my Membership Dues* shared in PTA?
$ 1.75 - National PTA
$ 1.25 - California State PTA
$ 0.25 - PTA Peralta District
$ 0.75 - PTA Pleasanton Council

*Your PTA Unit retains and administers the remainder of your Membership Dues.

PTA Unit Information for Membership Remittance Dates and Awards

Pleasanton PTA Units are required to forward their membership remittance to the Council before November 1 to remain in good standing. However, to be eligible for various California State PTA Awards & Grants, you must submit your Unit's first membership remittance to the Pleasanton PTA Council by the following deadlines:

Early Bird Award October 1

Chairman's Club

October 15

First Required Remittance

November 1

Final Required Remittance

March 2
