The Pleasanton PTA Council, in partnership with PUSD, has
released a new parent resource entitled "Talking
to your kids about sex," which includes a Pleasanton
PTA committee reviewed list of relevant books. It is being
mailed out to all 5th & 8th grade parents as those students
are experiencing the Family Life curriculum. For a copy of
the brochure, Click

Safety |

One of the many health initiatives
of the Pleasanton PTA Council is an awareness
campaign about the dangers of skin cancer due
to excessive sun exposure, particularly for children
and youth. We have donated multiple copies of
videos entitled "The Sun Show" to all
elementary and middle schools in Pleasanton. To
learn more, see the press release.
For more information on Sun Safety, see copies
of the teachers guides which were provided to
1st - 3rd grade; 4th-5th grade and middle school
health teachers in PUSD.
As a result of our press release, the Valley
Times printed an article about sun safety. Click
here to read the article.

This a resource distributed by the Orange County PTA Council.
Pleasanton Police reviewed this list and thought it would
be good to post - keeping in mind that it is from another
area. Police Dept. did not have any additions to the list.
