Pleasanton Unified School District and the Pleasanton PTA Council have joined the coalition to advocate for 'Raise the Base' (raisethebase.org).
This initiative advocates for more base funding per student in all districts, which will ensure adequate funding for all students, including those who need more support.
More information can be found on the Raise the Base Coalition website.
A bill currently in the process about funding re-distribution (AB1204) sponsored by Assembly member Alvarez. While the bill has some helpful items, certain aspects of the bill are potentially disadvantageous for PUSD. More information about AB1204 can be found here.

I would like to bring to the Assembly member / Senator's attention my opposition to AB1204 for LCFF education funding, especially considering how it effects school funding for a school district like Pleasanton Unified School District, which has a low, but still present number of unduplicated students. I would instead like to encourage the senator to support efforts to raise the base per student funding amounts for K-12 education.

When calling the office, simply state your opposition and mention a raise the base solution instead. It is not required to provide complicated arguments. The office staff will record your input.
