Managing Your Child's 504 Plan

This presentation is geared toward parents who have a child with an existing 504 Plan.
Eligibility or assessment for a 504 Plan will not be discussed during this presentation.
- How to construct an effective 504 Plan
- How to best collaborate and advocate within a 504 Plan
- Ideas for accommodations based on disability
- How to help your child advocate for themselves
- Tips and suggestions from other parents
She has served as the district's SDC teacher and as a site administrator.
Rebecca Thackaberry is an experienced teacher who currently works
as an advocate for students receiving special education services and students with 504 Plans.
Noreen Senner is the mom of three boys, two with active 504 Plans.
She has served as PTA president at Hearst Elementary
and is the VP of Student and Community Concerns in the Pleasanton PTA Council.
